The Washington Debate Coalition (WDC) is an educational development organization that seeks to expand opportunities for students to engage in debate in the State of Washington. The WDC supports debate as a means for students to become informed citizens with excellent skills in public speaking, persuasion, critical thinking, and research.

Spring Fling End of Year Celebration
Come to the first annual WDC Spring Fling on the weekend of May 14! Meet new and old friends, debate, and support debate in Washington! Weekend events will include an evening meet and greet, open entry tournament for coaches, family, students, and former debaters, banquet, and after party.
New High School Debate Programs
The WDC started two new programs this year, placing coach Robby White at Ingraham High School and coach Chris McCool at Ballard High School. Three more new programs are in the works for 2010. Will your school be next?
Coach and Debater Workshop Series
The WDC will be hosting novice, intermediate, and advanced coach and debater workshops beginning in the fall. The WDC will provide the excellent staff and curriculum you have come to expect from us. Look for more information in the summer and fall!
